    Biography

    Ellen is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. Her research examines the political development and effects of criminal justice policies on racial and socio-economic inequalities. She has recently contributed to a quantitative study of disparities in the Delaware criminal justice system for the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and the Access to Justice Commission. Ellen holds a joint Ph.D. in political science and criminology from the University of Pennsylvania and B.A. in political science from Swarthmore College.
