    Biography

    Chenesia Brown received her B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. As a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, Chenesia developed a research project on perceptions of crime in Little Rock, AR. Rates of crime were compared to perceptions of crime using highway I-630 as a spatial boundary. She presented her work at several conferences including: the McNair Heartland Research Conference, the McNair Scholars Program Research Symposium, and the UALR Student Research and Creative Works Expo. Chenesia continues to hone her research skills and pursue her interests as a Sociology M.A. student in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. Specifically, her M.A. thesis relates to city structure and the formation of spatial boundaries including racial residential segregation.
